Senior Data Engineer
You’ll teach AI helpers how to find information, think smartly, and get real work done - without big, complicated setups.
About The Job
At Lyzr AI, we believe the era of rigid, Palantir-style semantic layers is ending. Those systems were built for humans—centralized warehouses, heavy ontologies, endless modeling.
Agents don’t need that.
We’re building a Fluid Intelligence Platform—where data stays close to the source, architectures stay composable, and autonomous agents can reason, plan, and act in real enterprise environments.
If you’re an Enterprise Data Architect who’s tired of over-engineered platforms and excited by agent-native systems, this role is for you.
What you’ll actually do
Work directly with enterprise customers to understand the workflows they want to automate—and translate them into agent + data architectures on Lyzr
Map real-world data sources (SQL, NoSQL, APIs, SaaS tools, documents, file systems) and define how agents should access them—without forcing a heavy central semantic layer
Design agentic data pipelines and mini data marts that are lightweight, governable, and fit-for-purpose
Use semantic and graph-based models only where they add value—helping agents reason over entities and relationships for specific use cases
Partner with product, agent engineering, and customer teams to deliver clean, secure, production-ready architectures
Who this is for
8–12+ years in data architecture/data engineering/analytics architecture in complex enterprise environments
Strong hands-on experience with structured + unstructured data, APIs, SaaS integrations, SQL & NoSQL
Solid understanding of semantic modelling and practical knowledge of graph/knowledge graph concepts
Comfortable being customer-facing—you can whiteboard, run discovery sessions, and explain complex ideas simply
You think in systems, prefer composable architectures over big-bang platforms, and are excited about agentic AI
